Coppafeel!

CoppaFeel! is a UK-based breast cancer awareness charity that aims to educate and empower people to detect breast cancer early. Founded in 2009 by Kris Hallenga, who was diagnosed with incurable breast cancer at the age of 23, CoppaFeel! focuses on raising awareness, especially among younger audiences, about the importance of regular self-checks and knowing the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.

Our vision is that no-one is excluded from the joy, fulfilment and lifelong benefits of sport.

Women in Sport’s Mission Statement

Women in Sport is deeply committed to addressing inequality issues in sport and society as a whole and so our work encompasses everyone.

Specifically, our work extends to women and girls from diverse ethnic backgrounds who encounter significant barriers to participation in sports. We prioritise empowering these individuals, providing them with opportunities to access and benefit from sports activities.

Additionally, we are actively engaged in advocacy efforts aimed at influencing independent regulators to tackle abuse and misogyny in sports. This includes ongoing collaboration with relevant authorities to implement measures that safeguard the well-being and dignity of all participants, particularly those who are vulnerable to exploitation or discrimination.

"CoppaFeel! was born because I was never told to check myself and I didn't know I could get breast cancer at 23... So now we educate young people about why they should start checking from a younger age so that all breast cancer is diagnosed early"

Kris Hallenga
CoppaFeel! Co-founder

The charity's mission is to ensure that breast cancer is detected as early as possible, increasing survival rates. They use fun, engaging campaigns and partnerships to break down the taboo surrounding breast health, delivering life-saving information in a positive and approachable way. CoppaFeel! encourages everyone to take control of their health by checking their breasts and pecs regularly, regardless of age or gender.

Through initiatives like "boob HQ," their website, mobile reminders, and collaborations with schools, workplaces, and brands, CoppaFeel! is changing the conversation around breast cancer, making it accessible and relatable to people of all backgrounds.

Supporting CoppaFeel! helps spread this crucial message, potentially saving lives by promoting early detection and empowering people to take action.
